This paper analyzes the results of two independent experiments conducted in 2018 and 2023 on the effect of an innovative feed additive based on fir needles on the productivity of cows and heifers during the period of deep pregnancy and milking. During the consumption of the supplement and in the post-experimental period, milk productivity, milk quality, reproduction, health and stress tolerance indicators were studied and monitored. According to the results of two production experiments, the increase of daily milk productivity of cows was recorded, in the experimental groups of cows the lactation schedule is smoother, physiological, more animals were fertilized by natural hunting, without additional hormonal stimulation and synchronization. Cows of experimental groups had more physiologic labor than control animals, less postpartum complications were registered. Cortisol content in the blood of animals of the experimental group after calving was higher compared to cows of the control group and in cows higher compared to first calves in both groups. Daily milk yield of cows of the experimental group exceeded the index of the control group by 3.1 kg, milk yield increase in the experimental group in relation to the beginning of the experiment is higher than in the control by 2.5 kg. Milk quality is higher in animals of the experimental group: fat – by 0.36–0.07%, protein – by 0.05–0.08%. Economic efficiency per day in productivity amounted to 19.74 rubles (2018) and 48.65 rubles (2023) per head
