To reduce the amount of the main components of compound feed, to realize the genetic productivity potential of young pigs, to increase their productivity and to balance feeding rations, it is necessary to use various feed and mineral additives including those of natural origin. Such additives include silicon-containing zeolite trepel. The purpose of the experimental research is to determine the optimal dose of silicon-containing zeolite in feed recipes for young pigs and to identify its effect on the dynamics of live weight, feed costs and economic indicators. For the experiment, the authors have developed three recipes of mixed feeds with 3, 4, 5% additives. According to the results of the experiment, the article proves that the optimal content of this drug is 3% of compound feed mass. We have found that the dynamics of body weight gain in the 2nd group increased by 13.5%, in the 3rd group – by 7.2%, and in the 4th group it decreased by 4.41% compared to the control group. The studies have shown that the addition of silicon-containing zeolite in the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups had no effect on the consumption of compound feed, and in the 4th experimental group there was a decrease in the consumption of compound feed. Feed consumption in energetic feed unit for live weight gain in the 1st, 2nd and 4th experimental groups decreased by 12.1, 6.7 and 0.3%. As a result of using silicon-containing zeolite, the live weight gain increased, the feed consumption in energetic feed unit decreased, and metabolic processes of experimental pigs improved
